Job summary

Alexandria Industries is hiring a Production Operator to support the Fabrication team by operating equipment that modifies aluminum parts to customer specifications. You will set up and run manufacturing equipment, inspect parts for quality, and package finished products for shipment.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting blueprints to customer specifications.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and specifications.
• Proficient use of inspection tools to identify defects.
• Strong communication skills for safety and quality.
• Ability to operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Physical capability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand/walk frequently.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate fabrication equipment to produce aluminum parts.
• Review work orders, inspect parts, and verify quality requirements.
• Package finished products according to customer requirements and schedules.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and keep areas clean and organized.
• Follow safety procedures and seek quality/efficiency improvements.

• Pay or shift range: $18 USD to $25.48 USD

Base pay: $18.00 to $25.48 per hour (+$5.00/differential)
Location: Alexandra, MN
Schedule: Full-time, Friday, 12:30am-6:30am Friday-Sunday, 6:30pm-6:30am

What a Production Operator does

• Set up and operate fabrication equipment to safely produce aluminum parts that meet customer specifications.
• Review work orders, inspect parts, and verify quality requirements using inspection tools.
• Package finished products according to customer requirements and production schedules.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and keep equipment and work areas clean and organized.
• Follow safety procedures and identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and production processes.

Required

• Basic computer skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and inspect parts to customer specifications.
• Ability to use inspection equipment and identify product defects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work around manufacturing equipment, loud noise, dust, fumes, and moving mechanical parts.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds (items over 40 pounds require a team lift or crane) and perform frequent standing, walking, and repetitive motions.

Preferred (not required)

• Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience.
• Experience using measurement or inspection tools.
• Experience reading manufacturing documents or work orders.
