Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Production Associate for our Nashville, TN site. This contract-to-hire role involves operating equipment, assembling products, inspecting quality, and packaging for shipment in a multi-department production environment.

The position requires lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for the full shift, and cross-training across departments with flexibility for different shifts. Pay is $19.14 per hour with standard benefits for eligible temporary staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly.
• Ability to stand for the entire shift in a production environment.
• Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively.
• Willingness to cross-train and work in different departments as needed.
• Flexibility to work various shifts in line with plant requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery safely and efficiently according to established procedures.
• Perform general production and general labor tasks as assigned across different departments.
• Assemble components on an assembly line to meet production and quality standards.
• Package finished products accurately and securely for shipment.
• Conduct visual quality inspections to identify defects and ensure products meet specifications.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production issues, quality concerns, and equipment needs.
• Adapt to changes in work assignments, schedules, and department needs as required.
