Job summary

Sun Chemical in Cincinnati, OH, is seeking a Production Operator – Centron to support batch manufacturing on dayshift (9am-5:30pm). You will review batch tickets, weigh ingredients, run the scale, sample for lab QC, ensure ingredient traceability, and participate in plant safety and SOP adherence while maintaining cleanliness and equipment care.

Experience with forklift and SAP is preferred; HS diploma required; benefits include medical, 401(k), and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of MS Office.
• Repeatedly lifting 55 lbs.
• Stand for long periods of time.
• Experience with forklift.

Responsibilities

• Review batch tickets – Read, understand and follow.
• Gather and weigh ingredients (scale operation); combine ingredients in designated sequence.
• Provide samples to lab; preliminary quality checks.
• Ingredient traceability.
• Report near miss incidents and improvement.
• Equipment cleaning; plant cleaning and waste disposal.
• Tub washer.
• Participate actively in all plant safety initiatives, programs and training.
• Follow all standard operating procedures with respect to performance of position.
