Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Production Operator for an automated conveyor system in a battery materials facility. You will unpack materials from AGVs, load components, perform light assembly, inspect quality, and assist with training.

The role requires strong attention to detail, basic computer skills, and adherence to SOPs in a climate-controlled, full-time environment. The position is onsite in Marshall, MI with a rotating night shift.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience in a repetitive setting.
• Two years tenure in a prior role with strong references.
• Experience performing repetitive tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
• Basic computer literacy for data entry and monitoring systems.
• Ability to learn and work with automated equipment and new technology.
• Follow SOPs and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and monitor computerized conveyors to ensure a consistent production flow.
• Receive components from AGVs, unpack, assemble lightly, and load onto conveyors.
• Feed raw materials into conveyors according to procedures.
• Repack parts and load materials onto conveyors in correct orientation and sequence.
• Conduct visual inspections and report defects or nonconformities.
• Record production data and monitor KPIs; report discrepancies.
• Assist with training new operators and reinforce safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and 5S practices; use PPE as required.
• Perform basic troubleshooting on conveyors and report issues to maintenance.
• Support continuous improvement and shift coordination.
