Auto Screen Press Operator

Location: Crawfordsville, IN

Join the Crawfordsville – Spartech Team! We are looking for a dedicated Screen Press Operator to join our team in Crawfordsville, IN. Our organization specializes in extruding and converting flat plastic sheets, which may include graphics and die-cutting into various products such as license plates, signage, and school supplies. General Summary and Responsibilities

Responsible for setting up and operating an automatic screen-printing press. Key duties include:

1. Review job traveler to confirm setup and materials.
2. Complete setup for each job on the screen press.
3. Check registration and corona treat.
4. Prepare inks and additives as needed.
5. Identify and repair minor screen issues like pinholes.
6. Adjust settings during production to ensure quality.
7. Train and supervise temporary helpers.
8. Accurately report labor activities.

Requirements

Qualifications include:

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Experience in printing or related fields.
• Basic math skills and ability to read measurements.
• Normal color vision.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently.
• Use of hand trucks and standing for long periods.
• Ability to work with inks and chemicals while wearing PPE.

This role reports to the Converting Supervisor.
