Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America, DeRidder, LA paper mill, is seeking an entry-level Production Operator Apprentice with safety leadership skills. The role covers all mill departments and includes a 60-work-day probationary period with wage progression to Operator C over two years.

Responsibilities include operating and monitoring equipment, lifting and moving materials, and working across Paper Machine, Shipping, Woodyard and Pulp Mill areas.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 12-hour rotating day/night shifts and overtime.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid driver’s license without restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor heavy equipment and machinery in multiple mill departments.
• Support production objectives by following safety and quality procedures.
• Assist in driving a lift truck as required.
• Load, unload, and move materials within paper mill.
• Communicate effectively with team members and Supervisors.
