Job summary

Georgia-Pacific in Antioch, CA is hiring safety-oriented Production Operators for our Gypsum facility. Compensation is $31.06/hour with a 12-hour rotating schedule that includes weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.

You will operate equipment to standards, monitor control systems, troubleshoot to optimize production, perform basic asset care, and work as a team to meet production, waste, quality and safety goals in a loud, industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, agricultural, or military environment OR completion of post high school education in a manufacturing/industrial centered program

• Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment
• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day, in a loud/noisy, and industrial, high-volume environment

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, agricultural, or military environment OR completion of post high school education in a manufacturing/industrial centered program

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience working in an industrial/manufacturing environment
• Experience operating a forklift
• Experience identifying, analyzing and troubleshooting quality issues
• Experience working with construction materials (lumber, gypsum, plaster, brick, insulation, etc.)
• Experience in identifying, leading, developing and implementing process improvement initiatives
