Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Production Associate for our Blue Rapids, KS facility. You will support operations in a 12-hour shift environment, with weekend and holiday requirements, and overtime as needed.

You will operate equipment, monitor control systems, troubleshoot issues, and perform basic maintenance while maintaining safety and quality standards. Team-focused and safety-minded individuals are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of previous work experience.
• Experience operating a forklift or industrial equipment.
• Experience working with automated or robotic equipment and machinery.
• Experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment or completion of related education.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets.
• Monitor and/or entry into computer control systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production.
• Perform basic asset care duties including routine preventive maintenance and cleaning of work area.
• Work as a team to help meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals.
• Operate and/or work around mobile equipment.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and wear safety equipment.
• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and pulling for up to 12 hours a day in a loud, industrial environment.

Georgia-Pacific Gypsum is seeking motivated and safety-oriented individuals to join our team as Production Associate at our Blue Rapids, KS facility.

Shift:

• 12-hour shifts (must be available for ANY shift) - includes weekends, holidays, and overtime
• Shift placement will be determined upon business need at time of hire

Compensation:

• Starting compensation is $24.32/hr. and shift differential (2nd Shift $1.00 more and 3rd Shift $2.00 more)

What You Will Do

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• At least 6 months of previous work experience

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, agricultural, or military environment OR completion of post high school education in a manufacturing/industrial centered program
• Experience using a computer, tablet, or smart device
• Experience operating a motorized forklift, clamp truck or industrial equipment
• Experience working with automated or robotic equipment and machinery
• Experience troubleshooting equipment
• Experience working with construction materials i.e.: lumber, gypsum, plaster, brick, insulation, etc.
