Job summary

Job Summary

The Production Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring packaging equipment in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role ensures that products are packaged according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), regulatory standards, and company procedures, while maintaining high levels of safety, quality, and efficiency. The operator will cleanroom support washing, packaging, vision inspection, steam sterilizer machines and other auxiliary equipment, including SAP interactions, to produce rubber stoppers in accordance with productivity standards. This is a weekend position, Friday – Sunday, 11:00 am to 11:30 pm.

Essential Functions
  • Ensures that equipment are maintained in good and safe working condition and the work area is clean, safe, and organized.
  • Monitors equipment performance and recommends improvements.
  • Duly follows organizational and work‑specific instructions, attends applicable training and meetings.
  • Completes tasks efficiently and on time, meeting productivity standards (where defined) and organizing work effectively.
  • Abides by safety regulations at all times, promotes safety standards at the workplace and in the team, and identifies potential safety risks to report to the line manager.
  • Demonstrates initiative to exceed common performance expectations, flexibly adopts changes in tasks, workplace, or team, works reliably, keeps agreements, and assumes responsibility for entrusted tasks.
  • Is open, respectful, and helpful, constructively contributing with own skills to problem‑solving in the team and sharing and accepting information and knowledge.
  • Participates in department or quality team meetings, suggests improvements, and works alone or with others to implement them as assigned.
  • Trains new operators and/or trainees as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma.
  • One month of plant training – TQM, SPC, GMO, SOPs – in conjunction with required on‑the‑job experience.
  • Six months of on‑the‑job training.
  • Ability to speak, read and write English to understand operating procedures and complete position‑related documentation.
  • Capability to perform basic arithmetic skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
