Job Description

As a member of the plant operations team, reporting to the production supervisor, you will work variable shifts based on business needs. Your responsibilities include:

1. Producing, inspecting, and packaging products according to batch formulations using various equipment.
2. Following all EHS and Quality procedures to ensure safe and quality production.
3. Accurately recording material usage and process data manually and via computer.

Key Activities

• Following process batch sheets to produce quality products.
• Adhering to plant policies to meet safety, quality, service, and cost objectives.
• Participating in continuous quality improvement and safety programs.
• Monitoring and adjusting equipment for safe and efficient operation.
• Collaborating with team members to meet objectives.
• Maintaining cleanliness and completing paperwork accurately.
• Operating equipment such as mixers, blenders, packaging lines, forklifts, and hand tools.
• Using computer controls and participating in continuous improvement projects.
• Rotating through different work functions as required.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced production setting requiring safety, accuracy, and speed.
• Ability to stand, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in non-climate-controlled environments.
• Minimal supervision with the use of production and material handling equipment, hand tools, and computers.

Accountabilities

• Operating equipment and reporting issues.
• Achieving daily goals and problem-solving to eliminate waste and errors.
• Understanding production processes and complying with regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, basic math and English skills.
• Willingness to work off-shift and overtime.

Preferred skills include manufacturing experience, computer skills, forklift operation, and experience with automated equipment. Starting pay is $19.50/hour plus $0.85 shift differential.
