Production Operator

Vancouver, WA

3rd Shift 10pm-6:30am

Position Overview

The Production Operator I report to the Production Manager/Supervisor. The job holder has the responsibility to operate the equipment and all of its affiliated processes (preparing raw materials & packaging, unloading, packing & labeling), in compliance with legal and company rules.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Preparation of raw materials and packaging: identifying & preparing the right quantities and transport them to the appropriate production area, reporting any deviation from normal, note start and finish of process.
2. Operating processing equipment in line with process instructions and procedures.
3. Monitors equipment, keeping processes running at desired run rates.
4. Complete the initial testing and release of products in order to ensure that there are no deviations to specifications.
5. Check labels & packaging material, ensure correct labeling following the existing rules and instructions.
6. Packaging the final products in accordance with instructions and H.B. Fuller quality standards.
7. Carry out all operations in compliance with the expected Quality Standards and Operating procedures of H.B. Fuller and respecting all legal and company EHS rules.
8. Responsible for housekeeping in his area of responsibility.
9. Carry out any other duties requested from the Production Manager/Supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

1. Basic educational degree or High school diploma or general education diploma.
2. 1 year experience in an industrial environment.
3. Knowledge of common software programs (MS Office).
4. Ability to read and understand work orders, production processes, safety regulations, and quality procedures and instructions.
5. Availability to work in shifts.
6. Understanding of basic English.

Physical Environment

1. Required to stand for long periods of time.
2. Walk and climb stairs.
3. Use hands to remove or lift boxes.
4. Stretch and reach with arms extended.
5. Stoop and bend.
6. Regularly lift up to 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
7. Temperature, dust, smell and noise are under normal chemical environment conditions.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location. The salary for this role is $21.46/hr plus $1.50 shift differential.
