Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions in Memphis, TN is seeking a production operator to run manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently, while meeting daily production targets. You will keep work areas tidy and support safety and quality throughout the process.

The role involves cross-training across presses, palletizers, seamers and slitters, plus assisting with changeovers. Evening/night and weekend shifts may be required based on business needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Basic Math skills (addition, subtraction, measurements).
• Willingness to work evening or night shifts and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate all manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Meet production standards on assignments within required time.
• Maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space.
• Responsible for safety and quality throughout the production process, including quality inspection.
• Clean equipment and area before, during, and after shift.
• May sort product to ensure quality shipments.
• Assist in changeovers when needed.
• Cross-train across multiple operations such as presses, palletizers, seamers and/or slitters.
• Collaborate with team members to meet safety, quality and productivity goals.
• Perform other duties as required by Supervisor or Manager.

• Maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space
• Responsible for safety and quality throughout the production process, including following all safety procedures and performing manual and visual quality inspection of products as assigned
• Responsible for cleaning equipment and area before, during, and after shift
• May be responsible for sorting product as needed to ensure quality shipments
• Assist in changeovers when needed
• Is responsible for cross-training across multiple operations such as presses, palletizers, seamers and/or slitters
• Responsible for working directly with team members to meet all safety, quality and productivity goals
• Performs other duties as required by Supervisor or Manager

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a fast-paced, Manufacturing Environment
• Must have the willingness and ability to effectively communicate with peers, supervisors and other levels of the organization to create a positive, team-oriented environment
• Ability to read and write in English
• Basic Math skills such as addition, subtraction and taking measurements
• Must be willing to work evening or night shift and weekends as needed based on business need
