Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking safety-minded Production Associates for Albion, MI. Starting pay is $23.25 per hour with second shift differential of $1.50 and third shift differential of $1.25. You may increase compensation based on skills and plant performance.

Be prepared to work first, second, or third shift, with overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed. Orientation begins on 1st shift; permanent 2nd or 3rd shift will be assigned after orientation.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, agricultural, or military environment is preferred.
• Ability to operate equipment to defined standards and targets.
• Willingness to work with safety rules and wear required safety gear.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets.
• Monitor and/or input data into computer control systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production.
• Perform basic asset care duties including routine maintenance and cleaning of work area.
• Work as a team to help meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals.
• Operate and/or work around mobile equipment.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and wear safety equipment.
• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve hours a day in a loud industrial environment.
