Job summary

Spectrum Control, Inc. is seeking a Production Operator in State College, PA. This position offers a unique 4-day, 10-hour work schedule allowing for a 3-day weekend. The applicant will perform duties such as inspecting products for flaws, managing work specifications, and ensuring a safe production environment.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of Manufacturing experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Competitive wages and benefits begin on day 1 of employment.

The candidate that fills this position will work 1st shift (6:00 AM-4:00 PM) Monday-Thursday.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Inspect products for flaws through a microscope and report flaws to area lead or supervisor.
• Review and follow work specifications.
• Set up standard daily work.
• Track and input work order moves and product output into production move system.
• Work with or around ceramics, solvents, dust, and liquid & solid metals.
• Train and work where assigned in pre‑ and post‑kiln operations.
• Work effectively on individual job assignments or as a member of a team.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Perform other duties or flex to other areas as required by supervisor.
• Assist in the training of new operators when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: High School or Equivalent.
• Experience: 1 or more years in Production/Manufacturing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic reading and comprehension.
• Ability to tolerate work with or around ceramics, solvents, dust, and liquid & solid metals.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Production Floor in a Manufacturing Facility.
