Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing in Kansas City, MO is hiring a Production Operator for 1st shift (6:00 AM–2:30 PM, Mon–Fri). You will load parts into automated cells using PLEX, record production, pack per instructions, and label outputs while documenting issues.

You’ll escalate quality or machinery problems, adhere to check sheets and work instructions, and support audits. The role requires strong attention to detail, reading and interpreting operator instructions, and the ability to work independently

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 months manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret operator instructions, inspection sheets, and quality alerts.

Responsibilities

• Load component parts into automated assembly using PLEX and record production.
• Pack per instruction and create labels, documenting issues with parts or machinery.
• Escalate machine or parts quality issues to team leaders or supervisors.
• Ensure all products comply with check sheets and work instructions; document inspection results and non-conformances.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area; support internal and external audits.
• Cross-train on various work centers and participate in improvement opportunities.
