Production Operator / Packer Operator

SHIFT: 2nd Shift (3:00 P.M. - 11:00 P.M.)

PAY: $29.02/hr

Job Summary

This role is part of our Purina Animal Nutrition business, supporting our network of local cooperatives, independent dealers, and large retailers across the U.S. We innovate nutrition products and practices through industry-leading R&D and partnerships to help animals achieve a healthier, more productive life.

The Bagger Operator's responsibilities include setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment such as machining, processing, assembly, transporting, and packaging machinery. Key tasks include:

• Operating machine tools, assembly lines, forklifts, and packaging equipment to meet production specifications and quality standards.
• Moving, packing, and sorting raw and finished materials.
• Performing routine maintenance on packaging equipment.
• Loading and unloading trucks.
• Monitoring output quality and addressing faulty products.
• Maintaining accurate production records.
• Monitoring machine parameters and troubleshooting issues.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Basic computer skills
• Age: 18 years or older
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions
• Strong critical thinking and safety awareness
• Reliability in time management and attendance
• Ability to work well with others and adapt to changes

Physical Requirements

Position requires lifting up to 55 lbs, active movement, working in various temperature zones, and wearing personal protective equipment. Shift schedules may include days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
