Job Description
The Production Operator works with raw materials - such as fiber optic cables, copper, and steel - and uses specific machinery to transform raw materials into finished products per our customer specifications. All team members are responsible for safety, quality inspections, organization, and maintaining a clean work area.
Requirements
- Please note: This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR), as such, applicants must be a U.S. person defined as a citizen, national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee.
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs as needed
- Ability to follow standard work instructions and adhere to quality control procedures
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred (preferably in high-volume production or assembly environments & including familiarity with safety protocols and PPE usage in a manufacturing setting)
- Experience operating industrial machinery, assembly lines, or automated equipment preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues preferred
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles, 5S, or continuous improvement preferred
