Job summary

An Encapsulation Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining encapsulation equipment used in the production of capsules. The operator ensures capsules are manufactured according to quality standards, production schedules, and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with required coursework.
• Knowledge of weights and metric measurements.
• Experience with quality systems (RedZone) and Oracle.
• Ability to operate process equipment and monitor performance.
• Basic math ability and computer skills.
• Capable of tracking records and maintaining accuracy.
• Able to lift/move heavy weights and multitask across shifts.
• Strong communication and teamwork across all shifts.

• Produces and inspects the quality of products


• Operates and monitors production equipment


• Inspects, sets up, and cleans equipment


• Cleans production rooms


• Completes paperwork, performs computer input, and returns records


• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Four years of high school plus specific course requirements


• Knowledge of weights and measurements (i.e. metric system)


• RedZone and Oracle


• Skill in operating process equipment


• Basic math skills


• General computer skills helpful


• Able to monitor process equipment and keep accurate records


• Maneuver heavy weights


• Prioritize multiple assignments


• Must have good hand-eye coordination


• Able to communicate well with coworkers on all shifts and to work effectively in a team environment
