Commercial Metals LTD (CMC) is seeking a capable fabrication/assembly professional to support loading, unloading, and operating rebar fabrication equipment in our Texas facility. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to procedures, with training provided and opportunities for cross-training across multiple machines.

You'll work outdoors in varying weather, lift up to 50 pounds, and participate in a strong safety culture.

Qualificações

• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions.

• Follow safety policies (OSHA/EPA) and procedures.
• Ability to operate fabrication machines safely with supervision.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• EOI: minimum 1 year in heavy industrial environment preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsabilidades

What You'll Do

• Attend training regarding applicable equipment
• Perform additional duties as needed
• Assist in loading fabricated rebar on trailers and unloading stock material from trailers
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition
• Operate production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
• Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture
• Crosstrain on multiple machines
• Operate rebar fabrication equipment, such as shears, benders, cranes, forklift, threaders, forging, welders, etc.

What You'll Need

• Must be able to work outside under all weather conditions to include working in the heat and cold weather
• Able and willing to cross train as required
• Follow OSHA, EPA, and company safety policies, rules, and regulations
• Possess a strong work ethic and practice safe working habits
• Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced environment, with strong work ethic, pay attention to detail and find root causes for issues
• Ability to operate fabrication machines in a safe manner without supervision
• Able to work overtime as business requires
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders and steps, work outside under all weather conditions when needed
• Must be able to read technical documents and service manuals
• Possess knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the industrial field
• Excellent communication skills, in both written and verbal form are necessary to be successful in this role
• Minimum 1 year working with heavy industrial environment experience preferred but not required
• Must be able to work overtime, either planned or unplanned for emergency situations
• Must possess work ethic and ability to be punctual
• Stand for long periods of time

Your Education

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
