Job summary

Xylem Water Solutions in Rockford, IL is seeking a Production Operator to perform hands-on production work in a safety-focused environment. You will operate water treatment equipment, assist with carbon regeneration, and support testing and documentation.

A strong team player with basic computer skills will thrive in this role. The position offers a 2:30 PM–11:00 PM schedule, with base pay of $20.00–$24.00/hour plus a 10% second-shift differential, totaling $22.00–$26.40/hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to follow safety requirements and procedures.
• Experience in industrial process or production helpful.
• Comfort working in a chemical environment and performing physical tasks.
• Clear communication with teammates is essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate valves, hoses, tanks and other water treatment equipment.
• Perform carbon reactivation and regeneration tasks and tank changes.
• Check equipment, troubleshoot minor issues, and support testing and calibration.
• Load/unload deliveries, document processes, and follow procedures.
• Work with the team to meet quality standards and customer needs.

Your work may include:Operating valves, hoses, tanks, and other water treatment equipmentPerforming carbon reactivation and regeneration tasks, including product bagging, spent carbon handling, and tank changeoversChecking equipment throughout your shift and troubleshooting minor issuesSupporting product testing, pH probe calibration, wastewater treatment, and filter press operationsLoading and unloading deliveries and handling materialsEntering documentation into a computer and following written proceduresWorking with your team to meet quality standards and customer needsSchedule and payMonday through Friday, 2:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.$20.00 to $24.00 per hour base pay, plus a 10% second-shift differential, for a total of $22.00 to $26.40 per hour.
