Responsibilities
  • Check on equipment throughout shift to ensure equipment is working properly
  • Read and clearly follow processes that are required
  • Contribute to division results and performance
  • Take care of internal and external customer needs and expectations
Operational Areas
  • Carbon: Operate equipment specific to area such as bagging products, sampling and testing; manage spent carbon feed to reactivation furnace; switch tank feed from tank to tank of spent carbon; calibrate pH probes, operate a filter press, run facility wastewater treatment plant
  • Regen: Sort bottles by size and resin; load and unload deliveries to and from regional branch; operate forklift; move bottles and materials through plant and load/unload trucks; evacuate bottles
Position Requirements
  • FORMAL EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED
  • KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required
  • Must complete site specific safety training
  • Ability to communicate clearly to team members
  • Be able to follow and read instructions
  • Have basic math skills
Site Specific Requirements

CARBON: Be able to complete 40 hour hazardous waste operations training

Preferred
  • Some manufacturing/plant experience
  • Forklift driving
  • Knowledge of computers

REQUIRED DIMENSIONS:

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis
  • Must be able to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
  • Must be able to climb and descend stairs
  • Must be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on an occasional basis
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing
  • May work indoors and outdoors as needed. Exposure to heat up to 120 degrees and cold to 0 degrees
  • May work in areas where noise level is such that hearing protection is required
  • May be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt
  • Work surfaces may include concrete
  • Employee must be able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone
  • Some travel to other locations, meetings and/or seminars is required
