Job summary

ARAUCO North America, Inc. in Moncure, NC seeks a Production Utility Operator for a 12-hour rotating shift including nights, days, and weekends.

You will handle, stack, and grade materials up to 18 ft and 50 lbs, wrap and sub-bundle millwork, and monitor quality and safety with the supervisor. Qualified candidates have a HS diploma or GED, manufacturing or related experience, and can lift 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Manufacturing, warehouse, production, or similar experience preferred.
• Forklift or heavy equipment experience preferred.
• Must meet physical requirements including lifting 50 lbs and standing for long periods.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and identify safety hazards.
• Willing to complete a background check and full panel drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Handling, stacking, and grading material up to 18 ft long and weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Continuous wrapping and sub-bundling of material and stacking millwork for shipment.
• General cleaning of work area and surroundings.
• Banding units at the end of each production run.
• Monitor quality of product, equipment, and safety with supervisor guidance.
• Use tape measure and miter saw to cut runners and side boards to length.

What we are looking for:

• High School Diploma/GED.required

• Forklift, mobile equipment, or heavy equipment experience preferred
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the role – including lifting 50 lbs, standing for long periods of time, and completing repetitive tasks
• Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
• Ability to problem solve and identify safety hazards.
• Must be willing to complete a lifetime (from the age of 17) background check and full panel drug screen

In this role, you would:

• Handling, stacking, and grading of material up to 18ft in length and weighing up to 50lbs repetitively.
• Continuous wrapping and sub-bundling of material and stacking of millwork for shipment.

• Banding together units at the end of each production run.
• Monitor quality of product, equipment, and safety and working with supervisor as issues arise
• Use a tape measure and miter saw to cut runners and side boards to the proper length for banding.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to move freely throughout the facility, including climbing stairs and ladders, and navigating around equipment and machinery.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and crouch as necessary to inspect and maintain equipment.
• Capability to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform physical tasks that involve lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying heavy objects.
• Endurance to stand and walk for extended periods, often in environments with dust, chemicals, high noise levels and varying temperatures
