Job summary

WorldWise Plastics WWP in Lewisburg, TN is seeking a Production Operator to operate plastic injection molding, chroming, painting and assembly lines. You will monitor quality, safety and production targets and keep a clean, organized work area.

The role requires following SOPs, performing routine machine start-ups/shut downs, and reporting issues to team leaders. Experience in manufacturing is preferred; ability to work nights, weekends and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year in manufacturing or automotive production preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to follow technical instructions.
• Familiarity with safety, quality and productivity standards.
• Ability to use basic measurement tools (calipers, gauges) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate plastic injection molding machines per SOPs.
• Inspect molded parts for defects meeting quality standards.
• Start up/shut down machines and perform minor troubleshooting.
• Monitor materials and perform changes as needed.
• Operate chroming lines and painting/assembly processes as required.

Job Summary

The Production Operator is responsible for operating machinery and equipment involved in the manufacturing of automotive components, including plastic injection molding, chroming, painting, and assembly processes. The role requires attention to quality, safety, and production targets while maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Key Responsibilities

• Plastic Injection Molding
• Operate injection molding machines according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Inspect molded parts for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
• Perform machine startup, shut down, and minor troubleshooting as needed.
• Monitor material levels and perform material changes when required.
• Chroming
• Operate automated or manual chroming lines following safety and process protocols.
• Prepare components for chroming by cleaning and pre-treating surfaces.
• Inspect chromed parts for uniform coating, adhesion, and cosmetic quality.
• Follow environmental and safety regulations related to hazardous chemicals.
• Painting
• Load and unload parts to/from painting lines or booths.
• Monitor paint application to ensure coverage and quality standards.
• Perform minor touch-ups and cosmetic repairs as required.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety and environmental policies.
• Assembly
• Assemble automotive components using hand tools, power tools, or automated equipment.
• Follow detailed work instructions and assembly drawings.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections to verify proper assembly.
• Report defective parts or machinery issues to team leaders or maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment in automotive industry preferred but not required.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to follow technical work instructions.
• Familiarity with safety, quality, and productivity standards in a production setting.
• Ability to use basic measurement tools (e.g., calipers, gauges) is an asset.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods (8–12 hours).
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 35 lbs. (16 kg) regularly.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling small parts and tools.
• Comfortable working in environments with noise, heat, chemicals, or dust (with proper PPE).
• Capable of wearing respiratory and safety equipment as required (e.g., for painting or chroming processes).
