The Bridgestone Des Moines plant is the industry leader in the manufacturing of market‑leading Firestone brand agricultural tires. This entry‑level manufacturing production position is located in Des Moines, Iowa. Specific position roles and responsibilities vary depending on the area of the plant. Some positions require driving mobile equipment, such as a forklift. Potential applicants must be able to perform physical requirements which include, but not limited to, handling materials or tires on a repetitive basis weighing up to and exceeding 75 pounds (mechanical assistance is available for heavier weights). Positions require standing, bending, pulling, pushing, lifting, and reaching. Must be able to work any shift schedule in a non‑climate controlled environment. Successful candidates need to be prepared to work a night shift and overtime when needed.
Candidates will be required to pass a pre‑employment drug screen, physical, and criminal background screening.
