Commercial Metals LTD is seeking workers for fabrication and loading roles within our steel and reinforcement operations. You’ll operate rebar fabrication equipment, assist in loading and unloading stock, and follow established procedures to keep production flowing safely.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and reliability, with on-the-job training and opportunities to cross-train across multiple machines and processes.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work outside in varying weather conditions.
• Willing to cross train as required.
• Follow OSHA, EPA, and company safety policies, rules, and regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with strong work ethic, pay attention to detail and find root causes for issues.
• Ability to operate fabrication machines in a safe manner without supervision.
• Able to work overtime as business requires.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work outside in all weather.

Responsabilités

• Operate rebar fabrication equipment, such as shears, benders, cranes, forklift, threaders, forging, welders, etc.
• Assist in loading fabricated rebar on trailers and unloading stock material from trailers
• Operate production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
• Crosstrain on multiple machines
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition
• Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture
• Attend training regarding applicable equipment
• Perform additional duties as needed

What You'll Do

What You'll Need

• Able and willing to cross train as required
• Follow OSHA, EPA, and company safety policies, rules, and regulations
• Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced environment, with strong work ethic, pay attention to detail and find root causes for issues
• Ability to operate fabrication machines in a safe manner without supervision
• Able to work overtime as business requires
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders and steps, work outside under all weather conditions when needed
• Must be able to read technical documents and service manuals
• Excellent communication skills, in both written and verbal form are necessary to be successful in this role
• Minimum 1 year working with heavy industrial environment experience preferred but not required
• Must possess work ethic and ability to be punctual
• Stand for long periods of time

Your Education

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
