Job summary

3M is seeking a Production Operator for 12-hour night shifts (6:00pm-6:30am) at the Clinton, Tennessee site. You will collaborate with global teams, producing and assembling products while maintaining safety and quality standards. The role emphasizes hands-on operation, teamwork and adherence to procedures in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Starting pay is $22.05 per hour with shift differentials. Eligible benefits and a comprehensive compensation package are described on 3M's benefits

Qualifications

  • Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience in any environment.

Responsibilities

  • Produce and assemble products in the plant.
  • Operate and maintain machinery; ensure standards, finalize products, and prepare for shipping.
  • Observe all safety procedures and keep the work area clean and safe.
  • Apply quality instructions and specifications.
  • Monitor production/packing to meet quality goals.
  • Load/unload material into and from equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members to share information and solve problems.

  • Responsible for producing and assembling products in the plant

  • Operate and maintain machinery, ensure production standards are met, finalize products, and prepare them for shipping

  • Observing all safety procedures, maintain a clean and safe work area

  • Applying quality instructions & specifications

  • Monitoring the production or packing operation to ensure quality objectives are met

  • Loading/unloading material into & from equipment

  • Working as a team member through sharing information, problem solving & assisting others


Your Skills And Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:



  • Possess a High School Diploma / GED or higher (completed prior to start)

  • Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed

  • Minimum (1) one year of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government, or military environment


Applicants meeting the basic qualifications above may be required to take and pass 3M elected testing as part of the selection process.

The starting rate of pay for this position is $22.05 per hour with shift differentials. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
