Job summary

Activar, Inc. is seeking a Production Operator to operate molding, coating, or pad printing equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will follow procedures to ensure quality and on-time orders.

You will review job orders, assemble materials, perform trimming and packaging, and maintain clean, safe work areas while adhering to company guidelines. Teamwork and attention to detail are essential to success.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a relevant manufacturing setting.
  • Equivalent of high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

  • Set-up jobs and perform molding, coating, or pad printing operations to ensure the highest quality of production is achieved.
  • Review daily manufacturing functions and job orders to ensure awareness of requirements.
  • Obtain necessary materials and tools required to achieve expected run rates.
  • Draft and maintain procedure sheets.
  • Check all parts for excellent quality.
  • Perform trimming on parts if needed.
  • Assemble and package parts to customer’s specifications.
  • Ensure the safe operation of equipment.
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Report immediately to supervisor/lead/manager any and all problems, which may affect safety, equipment, tooling, and/or quality.
  • Maintain full working knowledge of all processes.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
  • Conduct himself/herself in a professional manner in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

This position is responsible for operating various equipment to mold, coat, or pad print parts within an assigned area as directed. The Production Operator accurately and efficiently completes orders to established procedures and quality standards.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Set-up jobs and perform molding, coating, or pad printing operations to ensure the highest quality of production is achieved.

Review daily manufacturing functions and job orders to ensure awareness of requirements.

Obtain necessary materials and tools required to achieve expected run rates.

Draft and maintain procedure sheets.

Check all parts for excellent quality.

Perform trimming on parts if needed.

Assemble and package parts to customer’s specifications.

Ensure the safe operation of equipment.

Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.

Report immediately to supervisor/lead/manager any and all problems, which may affect safety, equipment, tooling, and/or quality.

Maintain full working knowledge of all processes.

Conduct himself/herself in a professional manner in accordance with company guidelines.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Understanding of all tools, gages, equipment, and other various instruments used to perform position.

Basic ability to understand blueprints, schematics, and instrumentation diagrams.

Skill in performing accurate arithmetic functions involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; using decimals, percentages, fractions, and ratios.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Required:

Previous experience in a relevant manufacturing setting.

Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification.

The employee must regularly lift up to 60 pounds and move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The employee may be required to work with hazardous materials. The employee may be exposed to hot surfaces, hot air, electrical hazards, and flames. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works with moving machinery and occasionally in outside weather.

Starting hourly pay range: $20.00 - $24.00
