Production Operator- 2ndShift - Asheville - $18/hr.

PrideStaff is recruiting for anProduction Operatorfor2ndShiftfor a manufacturing company located inAsheville.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform setups and follow the first piece approval process before beginning operation.
• Manually pick, package, bank or wrap a variety of materials.
• Load and unload trucks in shipping and receiving areas.
• Assure tooling is maintained and always returned to itsdesignated storage area.
• Perform daily safety checks per work instructions.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Comply with all Quality Management System requirements and assure before operating any process that all work instruction training for that job has been satisfied.
• Support customer delivery requirements to assure 100% on time delivery.
• Support and drive lean manufacturing techniques including 5S, visual factory, setup reduction, cellular concepts and continuous improvement.
• Complete all documentation as required by work instructions.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Experience with a forklift .
• Ability to work safely in a busy manufacturing production facility.
• Communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
• Demonstrated an ability to performing a variety of tasks simultaneously.
• Demonstrated an ability to work in a team environment.
• Basic math skills.
• Lift up to 50 lb, prolonged standing with pushing, pulling and twisting required.
