The Production Operator is responsible for manufacturing products per specification. The Operator must perform cleaning and sanitation requirements to meet Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards.
What You'll Do for Us
- Operate machinery safely and efficiently to produce high-quality products daily.
- Troubleshoot machinery issues.
- Ensure proper and accurate product, package, and code changes.
- Maintain equipment according to manufacturer and internal specifications, including creating work orders and collaborating with the maintenance team during rebuilds and repairs.
- Perform all CIP/COP duties and surface foaming with mechanical cleaning in all areas.
- Report and correct safety issues, maintaining proper safety conditions of equipment and surroundings.
- Conduct quality inspections on materials and finished products, including checks on codes, seals, and weights.
- Notify responsible personnel of out-of-specification conditions and assist in resolution.
- Follow procedures for isolating hold products or defective materials.
- Participate in training, team meetings, and audits, and document all activities accurately during shifts.
- Comply with safety practices, rules, GMP, and 5S policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High School Diploma required; additional education or certifications are a plus.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and ability to learn SAP Inventory Management.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Availability to work various shifts, including extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
