Job summary

BlueLinx Corporation is hiring a Production Operator at our Minnesota distribution center. The role supports reading and writing in English, basic math, and handling up to 75 lbs.

You will store and retrieve materials, prepare shipping paperwork, and perform daily equipment checks in a safety‑driven environment. The position offers a Monday through Friday schedule with a fixed wage and opportunities to grow with a leading building products distributor.

Qualifications

• Reading and writing English is required.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division are required.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Able to climb, reach, bend, and pull as part of duties.
• Store and retrieve material (piece pick and/or bulk) for distribution.
• Prepare paperwork for distribution and shipping of products.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow written instructions and orders.
• Perform general warehouse tasks and maintain cleanliness of area.
• Operate or assist with material handling activities and equipment inspections.
• Maintain accurate inventory and assist in periodic counts as needed.
• Prepare and file distribution/shipping paperwork.
• Support safety and quality standards in daily operations.

What You’ll Do

• Reading and writing English


• General Math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)


• Able to lift up to 75 lbs


• Able to climb, reach, bend, and pull


• Store and retrieve material (piece pick and/or bulk)


• Prepare the paperwork required for distribution and shipping of products.


• Performs daily inspection and maintenance of equipment.


• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in working and assigned area.


• Assists in periodic inventory counts as requested.
