Job summary

Revere Plastics Systems, LLC is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily production activities on the floor, ensure safety and quality, and coach operators to improve performance. You will balance staffing, coordinate with Maintenance/Quality/Warehouse, and deliver concise handoffs to the next shift.

Ideal candidates have prior leadership in manufacturing, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work flexible shifts with OT as required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; technical/leadership training is a plus.
  • Experience leading teams in manufacturing or as a senior operator.
  • Clear communication and ability to motivate staff.
  • Strong understanding of safety and quality requirements.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
  • Flexible to work assigned shifts and overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate daily activities for the production crew to ensure safe, efficient output.
  • Distribute assignments at shift start and track completion through the day.
  • Serve as on-shift point person for questions, support, and decisions.
  • Coach on the floor—train, mentor, and provide feedback to build capability.
  • Review schedules and priorities; flex resources to meet targets.
  • Monitor workflow, cycle time, scrap, downtime, and staffing; implement fixes.
  • Uphold policies, safety rules, PPE, and quality standards without exception.
  • Identify hazards and drive safe behaviors and compliance.
  • Confirm quality checks are performed and standard work followed.
  • Partner with Maintenance, Quality, and Warehouse to keep product moving.
  • Communicate status, risks, and improvement ideas clearly to management.
  • Lead shift startup, handoff, and other key communications.
  • Champion continuous improvement and waste reduction activities.
  • Scan finished goods and ensure production paperwork and system entries are accurate.
  • Maintain precise records for attendance, training, KPIs, quality, incidents, and corrective actions.

A day in the life
You arrive a few minutes early to review the production plan, walk the floor, and greet the crew. After a brief kickoff huddle, you assign work, check PPE, and confirm that quality checks and standard work are understood. Throughout the shift you balance staffing to hit output goals, remove roadblocks with Maintenance, Quality, and Warehouse, and coach operators to sharpen skills. As work wraps, you scan finished product, verify documentation, and hand off a crisp update to the next leader.

  • Solid understanding of production processes, safety practices, and quality requirements.
  • Clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills; able to motivate and develop people.
  • Sound judgment and independence in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • High school diploma or GED; additional technical/leadership training is a plus.

  • Stand, stoop, twist, climb, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods (8–12 hours).

  • Work around hot molds, presses, cranes, and other industrial equipment; operate in tight spaces.
  • Use hands and fingers for grasping and handling.
  • Reach above shoulder height and at/below shoulder level.
  • Ascend/descend ramps and stairs.
  • Hear and distinguish speech and other sounds (e.g., machine alarms); moderate noise levels near machinery.
  • Close vision (20 inches or less) and ability to differentiate colors.
  • Hands-on on the floor 60–80% of the time with a balance of desk/computer work.
  • Operate in variable temperatures, at times up to 90 degrees; perform duties in hot and cold areas.
