Job summary

Jobot in Los Angeles seeks an experienced Production/Operations Manager to lead day-to-day field operations, scheduling, and project execution across Southern California.

The ideal candidate has deep commercial roofing knowledge, HOA/multifamily re-roofing experience, and a proven ability to manage multiple crews while delivering safe, on-time, and profitable projects. A strong leadership presence and readiness to drive efficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in commercial roofing production or operations management.
• Strong knowledge of low-slope and steep-slope roofing systems.
• Experience with HOA, multifamily, or occupied-property re-roofing.
• Ability to oversee multiple crews and field operations.
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in Google Sheets/Docs and project management tools.
• English proficiency; Spanish preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily roofing production across Orange County and SoCal.
• Manage project scheduling, crew assignments, labor allocation, and timelines.
• Serve as primary contact for foremen, field supervisors, subcontractors, and crews.
• Conduct preconstruction site walks, inspections, and QC assessments.
• Oversee material procurement, deliveries, equipment allocation, and subcontractor coordination.
• Ensure projects meet schedule, budget, and manufacturer specs.
• Support estimating with scope reviews and takeoffs.
• Monitor labor productivity, material costs, and profitability.
• Coordinate with property managers and HOA reps during execution.
• Enforce OSHA standards and safety practices.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee daily roofing production operations across Orange County and surrounding Southern California markets.
• Manage project scheduling, crew assignments, labor allocation, and production timelines.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for roofing foremen, field supervisors, subcontractors, and installation crews.
• Conduct preconstruction site walks, jobsite inspections, and quality control assessments.
• Oversee material procurement, deliveries, equipment allocation, and subcontractor coordination.
• Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Support estimating teams with scope reviews, takeoffs, and field verification.
• Monitor labor productivity, material costs, job profitability, and overall operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with property managers, HOA representatives, and internal leadership throughout project execution.
• Enforce OSHA standards, company safety procedures, and roofing industry best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial roofing production, operations management, or senior field supervision.
• Strong technical knowledge of low-slope roofing systems, including TPO, PVC, modified bitumen, built-up roofing, and coatings.
• Experience with steep-slope roofing systems, including asphalt shingles and tile.
• Previous experience managing commercial, HOA, multifamily, or occupied-property re-roofing projects.
• Proven ability to oversee multiple crews, subcontractors, and active roofing projects.
• Strong understanding of roofing installation methods, project sequencing, estimating, and material requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and manufacturer installation requirements.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable using Google Sheets, Google Docs, and project management software.
• Experience with ServiceTitan is a plus.
• English proficiency required; Spanish communication skills strongly preferred.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to safely access roofs, climb ladders, and conduct field inspections.
