Job summary

Zeeland Farm Services, Inc. is seeking a Full Time Production Manager in Blissfield, MI to lead all production areas and ensure on-schedule, quality-driven output within cost targets.

The role requires 3–5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, and strong leadership, problem-solving, and data-driven decision making. Expect safety-first operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in chemical, industrial or mechanical engineering or business administration, or a 4-year degree in related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning & directing production activities and establish production priorities for product in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.
• Maintain accurate production records on a daily, weekly, and/or monthly basis of key production variables.
• Manage staffing & training for the direct reports with adequate amount of overhead.
• Communicates regularly with all necessary personnel to ensure consistent operation among shifts.
• Conducts employee performance reviews based on job descriptions to determine competency and development needs.
• Initiate, coordinate, and carry out all production related projects. Support continuous improvement.
• Formulate and recommend operations policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and profitability.
• Ensure use and inventories of processed chemicals and all other supplies are monitored.
• Provides a “Customer Service” attitude when interacting with internal and external customers while accomplishing work, production, and achieving quality standards.
• Enforce all safety, health, environmental and food/feed safety policies, and procedures.
• Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe workstation/environment at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
