Job summary

ITW’s Smart Components North America Division in Illinois seeks a Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations across three shifts at the Mokena plant, ensuring safe, efficient output and alignment with production schedules.

You will coach supervisors, manage labor and costs, partner with quality and engineering to resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of manufacturing leadership experience, including direct supervision of front-line leaders, P&L ownership, and multi-shift operations.
• Experience in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, quality systems, standard work, and production metrics.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, leadership, and employee accountability skills.
• Ability to interpret operational and financial data and translate findings into clear actions.
• Automotive, injection molding, or high-volume manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily production operations across three shifts to meet safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost, and customer requirements.
• Lead first shift and supervise second- and third-shift Production Supervisors.
• Maintain high visibility and an active leadership presence on the shop floor.
• Directly lead production schedules, labor allocation, overtime, and resource priorities with forward-looking planning.
• Partner with Quality, Materials, Maintenance, Engineering, and HR to address constraints and ensure timely resolution.
• Own safety performance and drive continuous improvement, developing Supervisors and operators.
