Job summary

FreshPoint, Inc. seeks a Production Supervisor to plan, schedule, and direct the production operations team to meet productivity, safety, quality, and cost goals.

The role ensures adherence to company policies and procedures while coordinating daily manufacturing activities and staff performance. Responsibilities include overseeing production and material handling, driving lean initiatives (5S, Kaizen, Kanban), and maintaining accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• 3-5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Excellent communication and MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate and monitor daily activities of production staff to ensure productivity, quality and safety.
• Direct, coordinate and monitor daily activities for material handling labor.
• Evaluate employee performance through motivation, delegation, development, mentoring and resolving conflict.
• Take corrective action as necessary following company policy.
• Lead staff in pre-shift meetings and communicate policy changes to employees.
• Participate in staff selection, performance and compensation evaluations, corrective action and terminations as necessary.
• Prioritize and distribute daily work assignments according to line priority list.
• Establish line assignments and staffing as per priorities; determine overtime needs.
• Meet production goals, quality and cost objectives; monitor inventory using WMS.
