Pronto AI, based in San Francisco, is seeking aNetworking Software Engineer to advance autonomous vehicle communications in production deployments. You will optimize protocols, build tooling, and analyze network performance across RF, Wi-Fi, and cellular.

You should be proficient in Python and C++, Git, and Linux, with a proven portfolio in networking. This onsite role offers a competitive base salary, equity, and strong collaboration with engineers and operators.

Qualifications

• Proficient with python, C++, git, linux.
• Familiarity with common networking utilities.
• Excellent at handling ambiguous or undefined problems.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong portfolio of projects related to networking.
• Experience deploying and optimizing RF.
• Able to create and debug software systems with good diagnostics that scale.
• Able to debug issues across a hardware/software/real-world system.

Responsibilities

• Optimize communication protocols and schemas.
• Stress test network system to find operating limits.
• Improve network deployment and tuning techniques.
• Build tooling to view, diagnose, and iterate on network configuration and operation.
• Create tools to extract and visualize data from vehicle logs.
• Analyze performance of networks using RF, wifi, cellular.
