Job summary

Millennium is seeking an experienced Production Support Application & Middleware Engineer in New York City. You will support critical trading and messaging platforms, diagnose complex issues, and coordinate with global teams to ensure continuous production coverage.

The role requires strong command of Solace PubSub+, event-driven architecture, Linux environments, and scripting in Python and shell. A BS in CS or related field is required, with exceptional communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting production systems in fast-paced environments.
• Hands-on experience with Solace PubSub+ broker configuration, queues, topics, ACLs, client connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Provide production support for internal trading, integration, and event-driven messaging platforms.
• Diagnose and resolve application, messaging, infrastructure, connectivity, latency, throughput, and data delivery issues; coordinate escalations as needed.
• Communicate clearly with trading staff and internal stakeholders during incidents, releases, and events.
• Collaborate with global teams across NA, Europe, and APAC to ensure coverage and coordinate incident, change, and release activities.
• Monitor platform health, identify risks, and improve operational readiness with dashboards and runbooks.
• Develop automation and tooling using Python, shell scripting, GitHub, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
