Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITES / ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS:

• Maximize the value of our natural resources, plant and equipmentthrough:

• Conduct and assist with investigative and systematic testing for plant recovery improvements, cost reduction and/or plant throughput improvements.
• Attend avariety of production / metallurgy meetings and maintain required channels of communication.
• Coordinate and manage external consultants and resources asrequired.
• Help coordinate activities for metallurgical laboratory asrequired.
• Attend trainings/development programs and perform other reasonable duties required by theCompany.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Position Qualification:

• Basic understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) requirements.
• Basic knowledge of comminution, flotation, CIL, carbon handling, refining, cyanide destruction circuits.
• Basic knowledge of analytical and metallurgical laboratoryoperations.
• Basic knowledge of plant process control systems including advanced process controltechniques.
• Basic knowledge of metallurgical accounting procedures and gold standardsprotocols.
• Advanced problem-solving skills with complex problems, including both definition of the problem and generation and evaluation ofsolutions.
• Strong planning and organizational skills, including goal setting and monitoring of both own and others’ performance.
• Knowledge of water treatment processes isbeneficial.
• Skills &Abilities:

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear, andsee.
• Must be able to work shift work with 12 -hourshifts.
• Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during theworkday.
• Work is in asurface mine plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature andhumidity.
• Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in amine environment, including hart hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves, and any other protective equipment asrequired.
