You will research, plan, and design mechanical and electromechanical products and systems, coordinating fabrication, operation, and maintenance activities. The position requires a Bachelor's/Technical degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, with 3+ years in a Japanese-owned environment preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Technical degree in mechanical or electrical engineering required.
• Experience in a Japanese-owned company preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and diagnose issues.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills; good judgement and communication.

Responsibilities

• Designs products or systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines, and thermal or hydraulic systems.
• Works with production & maintenance to fabricate and install test control apparatus and develop testing procedures.
• Designs process controls and training standards to meet specifications.
• Coordinates operation, maintenance, and repair for optimal machine utilization.
• Communicates with Japanese engineers about new projects and data needs.
• Plans pre-preparation for new projects and schedules PM with suppliers.
• Evaluates installations and suggests design changes to prevent malfunctions.
• Maintains documentation and training for new equipment; adheres to safety rules.
