Job summary

Randstad in New York is seeking an experienced Setup Mechanic to maintain and optimize our production line. You will handle setup, repair, and preventive maintenance of critical equipment, interfacing with Operations and Engineering to ensure machines run at peak condition.

Available shifts: 1st, 2nd, 3rd. Requirements include a High School diploma and at least 3 years of mechanic experience or equivalent technical school training; ability to read manuals and blueprints; willingness to lift up

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience or technical school training in a mechanic or related craft.
• Solid knowledge of assembly line functions, machinery operation, and the ability to read technical manuals/blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and correct machine failures, performing on-line adjustments, repairs, and modifications.
• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance (PM).
• Ensure all work adheres to GMP regulations, including housekeeping and proper documentation.
• Strictly follow all safety regulations (e.g., equipment lockout, proper PPE).

Direct Hire Opportunity!Are you an experienced and skilledMechanicready to be the backbone of our production line? Join our Setup Mechanics team and play a critical role in maintaining the efficiency of our operations!Available Shifts:

• 1st Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Your Focus:You will be responsible for the setup, repair, and preventative maintenance of critical production and processing equipment. This hands-on role requires you to interface directly with Operations and Engineering to ensure machinery is correctly located, properly adjusted, and running at peak condition.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum ofthree (3) yearsof experience or technical school training in a mechanic or related craft.
• Solid knowledge of assembly line functions, machinery operation, and the ability to read technical manuals/blueprints.

Physical Demands:This is a continuous, hands‑on role requiring frequent walking, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying. Continuous stooping/bending, reaching/pivoting, and gross motor skills are required.
