Job summary

Solventum is seeking a Production & Materials Planning Manager to drive supply chain planning, inventory management and production scheduling onsite in Irvine, CA. You will lead cross-functional teams, optimize backorders, lead time, and OTIF while partnering with suppliers to ensure high service levels.

Required 7+ years in supply chain/operations, SAP/Power BI/Excel proficiency and APICS certification is a plus. Onsite work in Irvine with up to 10% travel may be expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university.
• 7+ years of experience in supply chain, operations or engineering.
• APICS Certification preferred.
• Experience using SAP, Power BI, and Excel.
• Strong analytical and cross-functional leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead weekly Supply Chain reviews with output vs forecast and production schedules.
• Maintain relationships with critical suppliers to ensure high service levels.
• Develop and communicate supply plans via ERP systems and cross-functional updates.
• Manage plant supply chain organization and inventory targets.
• Drive improvements in backorders, lead time, OTIF and inventory metrics.

Here, you will make an impact by:Lead Supply Chain weekly reviews, where you will give updates regarding output vs forecast, production schedules, capacity and material constraints, backorder recovery timelines, and successes and areas for improvementMaintain strong relationships with critical suppliers to ensure high service levels on componentsProvide direction on manufacturing strategies to ensure alignment with supply chain and operation goalsImproving key metrics like Backorders, Lead Time Adherence, OTIF, Inventory, etc. These topics will require daily communications and participation in the Tier processActively manage working and non-working inventories in assigned businesses to maintain compliance and achieve inventory investment targetsManage plant supply chain organizationDevelop and communicate supply plans through enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, reports, and cross-functional updates with production, quality, engineering, and other operational teams.Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited university(7) seven years of experience in supply chain, operations, or engineering in a private, public, government or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:APICS CertificationExperience using SAP, creating Power BI reports, and utilizing ExcelStrong analytical skillsExperience leading cross-functional teamsWork location: Onsite Irvine, CATravel: May include up to 10% [domestic/international]Relocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-beingSolventum offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
