Job summary

VanTran Industries, Inc. is seeking a Production Materials Lead to ensure timely availability of raw materials and subassemblies for continuous production flow.

You will coordinate with production, warehouse, and SCM teams to manage material shortages, allocate materials to lines, and maintain accurate inventory reports. This role requires strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills to minimize downtime and optimize material flow across the plant floor.

Qualifications

• Responsible for ensuring material availability for production and timely replenishment.
• Must communicate clearly with production, warehouse, and SCM teams to manage schedules and shortages.
• Develop and maintain reports on material status, inventory levels, and line performance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure materials are available when/where needed to support production schedules.
• Central point of contact for material inquiries across production, warehouse, and SCM.
• Collaborate with teams to plan material requirements for upcoming orders and production runs.
• Lead efforts to optimize material storage layouts for efficient handling.
• Monitor stock levels of Non-BOM components and perform regular audits.
