Job summary

Taco Cranston (TCR) is seeking a Material Handler I – Production to support receiving, storing, and accurate record-keeping of components on the Cranston site. You will count, verify, and organize parts daily in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities include pulling orders, moving materials, maintaining inventory, using ERP tools, and maintaining equipment in good condition. This is a regular full-time, on-site role with a 1st shift schedule.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience in warehouse / manufacturing environment.
• Ability to attain forklift certification.
• Skilled in using various types of material handling equipment preferred.
• Competent to operate computer and complete basic data entry in systems.
• Must learn responsibilities and adhere to procedures.
• Proficient in manufacturing process sheets training within 90 days.
• Basic arithmetic skills and organizational abilities.
• Able to lift/move materials up to 30 lbs (over 30 lbs with hoists).
• Able to follow verbal and/or written instructions.
• Attention to detail is essential.
• Well organized.

Responsibilities

• Pulls orders from inventory and delivers production materials where needed.
• Loads, unloads and moves materials as required.
• Maintain orderly operation of materials storage areas.
• Identify and label materials and supplies to maintain inventory.
• Monitor ERP queue and floor material inventory; request materials as needed.
• Picks and verifies materials listed on production orders.
• Deliver materials to production areas and maintain inventory.
• Notify Team Lead/Supervisor if shortage occurs.
• Locate, pick and pack materials for production needs.
• Verify part numbers and quantities.
• Record material handling activities in ERP.
