Job summary

Western States Envelope Company is hiring for a full-time Material Handler at our Butler, WI facility. You will load, unload and move materials and finished products, operate a hand truck, and ensure accurate daily production counts and quality checks.

The role emphasizes physical dexterity, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand most of the shift, and perform basic math for production records. A sign-on bonus up to $2,000 is offered.

Qualifications

• Manual dexterity required.
• Strong initiative and reliability.
• Team player with good communication.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs regularly.
• Ability to stand for ~60% of an eight-hour shift.
• Occasionally sit, climb, stoop, kneel or crouch during shift.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.

Responsibilities

• Loads, unloads and moves materials, tooling, and finished products within the plant.
• Loads and unloads materials onto/from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
• Operates a hand truck to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
• Counts, weighs and records units moved on production sheets.
• Removes and disposes of paper waste, recycles as required.
• Maintain adequate adhesive and paper levels for continuous production.
• Apply inspection procedures to envelopes produced.
• Maintain speeds set by the adjuster and supervisor for each job setup.
