Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Savannah, GA, is seeking a Material Planner II for Production Material Planning to manage material requirements from production schedules within an MRP/ERP environment. You will establish procurement plans, initiate purchase requisitions, and collaborate with Product Support and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure timely availability of parts.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2 years of manufacturing/materials planning

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Materials Management, Operations Management or related field.
2 years related experience in manufacturing and materials planning or inventory management.
Master's degree in related field may offset 2 years of experience.
Experience with MRP/ERP systems and data maintenance within planning environments.

Responsibilities

Establish material requirements consistent with production rates, lead times and inventory policies.
Initiate purchase requisitions and orders for new or stock items at reorder points.
Coordinate with Product Support and Manufacturing Engineering to expedite parts.
Analyze shortages and determine root-causes and corrective actions.
Monitor excess inventory and determine disposition or redistribution.
Prepare reports on inventory status and service levels; maintain data accuracy.
