The company builds mobile ad‑hoc network radios that provide reliable connectivity, including video and high‑bandwidth data, in the harshest environments from underground tunnels to high‑altitude balloons.
Job Description
Silvus seeks a Production Material Handler‑I who will report to the Production Manager on the Production Team. The role is fully onsite, Monday through Friday from 12:00 pm–8:30 pm at Silvus Technologies’ headquarters in West Los Angeles.
Role and Responsibilities
- Perform daily material delivery and pickup between the Stockroom, Production stations, Quality, and Shipping areas.
- Reallocate materials across job codes in the ERP system based on customer cancellations, change orders, or shipping schedule shifts.
- Pull, stage, and verify materials for Sales Orders in coordination with Supply Chain, Stockroom, Quality, Shipping, and Production teams.
- Support Production by escorting electronic materials, bins, and ESD bags between suites and stations throughout the facility.
- Work closely with Supply Chain, Stockroom, Quality, and Shipping teams to ensure all materials are properly issued, tracked, and documented.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and transactions in the system.
- Support inventory accuracy through participation in weekly cycle counts, month‑end and year‑end physical inventory counts and audits.
- Ensure adherence to ESD and material handling protocols to prevent damage or contamination.
- Assist in other production support or logistics duties as assigned by Production leadership.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1–3 years of warehouse experience, preferably handling electronic components, printed circuit board assemblies, and accessories.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, with strong initiative, sound judgment, and excellent follow‑through skills.
- Experience with Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Dependable, positive, and team‑oriented.
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to federal contracts.
- All employment contingent upon successful background check and drug test clearance.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Office environment.
- Physical tasks include bending and reaching to place items on shelves, kneeling or squatting to access lower shelves, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Compensation
Hourly wage: $23.00 – $25.00 (dependent on experience and qualifications).
