Production Material Handler-I
Position Summary
Silvus Technologies seeks a Production Material Handler who will report to the Production Manager and support the smooth flow of materials within the production, supply chain, stockroom, quality, and shipping departments. The role combines physical handling and clerical processing of materials to ensure timely delivery of components, inventory accuracy, and reallocation of materials for internal change orders or customer‑driven modifications.
Role and Responsibilities
- Perform daily material delivery and pickup between the Stockroom, Production stations, Quality, and Shipping areas.
- Reallocate materials across job codes in the ERP system based on customer cancellations, change orders, or shipping schedule shifts.
- Pull, stage, and verify materials for sales orders in coordination with Supply Chain, Stockroom, Quality, Shipping, and Production teams.
- Assist production by moving electronic materials, bins, and ESD bags throughout the facility.
- Work closely with Supply Chain, Stockroom, Quality, and Shipping teams to ensure all materials are issued, tracked, and documented.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and transactions in the system.
- Support inventory accuracy through participation in weekly cycle counts, monthly and yearly physical inventory counts and audits.
- Ensure adherence to ESD and material handling protocols to prevent damage or contamination.
- Assist in other production support or logistics duties as assigned by Production leadership.
- Perform other related duties of which the above are representative.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 1‑3 years of warehouse experience, preferably handling electronic components, printed circuit board assemblies, and accessories.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, with strong initiative, sound judgment, and excellent follow‑through skills.
- Experience with Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Dependable and positive with a team‑oriented attitude.
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.
- All employment is contingent upon successful clearance of a background check and drug test.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Office environment.
- Perform bending and reaching movements to place items on lower and higher shelves.
- Kneeling or squatting to access lower shelves.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds when receiving incoming part shipments.
Compensation
$23 - $25 per hour. This range is based on market research and will vary depending on experience and qualifications.
