Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

SCHEDULE: Mon-Thurs 6:00am-5pm - occasional mandated overtime on Fridays

Responsible for maintaining production on all scheduled hot stamp machines and all fresh pick scheduled for the wrapping lines. Their duties include, but are not restricted to, material handling, printing and labeling pallets for fresh pick, entering fresh pick jobs into factory track, returning unused product to storage racks, and cleaning and organizing the storage racks.

Hot Stamping

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understands and follows all established safety, health, quality and company policies, procedures and recognized practices.
  • Maintain work areas to acceptable safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Work from schedule provided by production planner.
  • Communicate with hot stamp team leader regarding the required products for all scheduled hot stamp machines.
  • Pull required product from storage racks.
  • Deliver and maintain the proper material at the appropriate staging area for each scheduled hot stamp machine.
  • Stage material for the incoming shift per provided schedule.
  • Return unused product to storage racks.
Fresh Pick
  • Work from fresh pick schedule provided by Production Planner.
  • Communicate with supervisor for instructions regarding what wrapping WIP lanes to load each product on.
  • Pull required product from storage racks and build fresh pick pallets per fresh pick schedule.
  • Move the pallets to an area where they can be transferred and transfer to a pallet jack.
  • Load pallets on required WIP lane conveyor per supervisor instructions.
  • Scan loaded pallets to the required WIP lane.
  • Enter quantity loaded per job under operation 5 in factory track.
  • Monitor the production schedule and available space on each WIP conveyor and load additional material as needed.
  • Return unused product to storage racks.
Required Skills And Abilities
  • Ability to be trained and certified as forklift operator.
  • Ability to operate pallet jack.
  • Ability to maintain regular, predictable and punctual attendance.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • Communicates effectively: conveys facts and information clearly both verbally and written.
  • Collaborates well with others: proactively contributes to group objectives; volunteers to help others.
Required Education And/Or Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

Production supervisor, production planner, team leader, operations manager.

WORKING CONDITIONS

HSD/GED required.

Must be able to lift 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Able to work daily overtime and/or weekends when needed.
