Job summary

Quebec Linge Co. in Cleveland, OH is seeking a team member to perform mat handling in its industrial laundry facility. You will ensure safe, expeditious and accurate processing of mats into and out of the plant.

Job description

Overview

Performs work as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility. Responsible for the safe, expeditious, and accurate handling of merchandise into and/or out of the laundry facility.

Responsibilities / Essential Functions

• Essential duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited performing a mat rolling by machine, by hand on inverted table, or stacking on pallet.
• Stages cage of mats near table or into lift table if using mat rolling machine.
• Places mat rubber side up to manually roll mat, or steps on foot pedal to roll using machine.
• Monitors for quality while rolling and identifies and segregates mats that do not meet quality requirements in terms of stains, gum stains, rips, tears, holes, or if wet.
• Accurately verifies mat by size, color, and type, and places mats on correct storage shelves.
• Maneuvers full and empty carts.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment, and observes best practices in all production activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Ability to understand all required training, written, and verbal instructions.

• Ability to meet attendance schedule.
• Work is based on a shift schedule, and may include weekends.

Working Environment / Safety Requirements

• Work is performed in a warehouse setting and regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme heat and cold conditions as well as dust and noise.

Compensation

: for positions located in certain Ohio municipalities, including Cleveland and Cincinnati, we provide compensation information in accordance with applicable local requirements. The estimated pay range for this role is $14.00/hour based on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications. Actual compensation may vary. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package.
