Your Job

This position starts at an hourly rate of $26.48/hour with opportunities to progress. Successful candidates must be available to work a rotating (days & nights) 12-hour schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Our Halsey Mill is located on Willamette Valley and is centrally located near the beach and mountains with outdoor recreational activities. The mill is roughly 30 minutes from Corvallis and Eugene, and 90 miles south of Portland, OR. We believe each role is a career opportunity to grow your knowledge and community impact. What You Will Do

  • Operate equipment to standards and product specifications
  • Monitor and/or input data into computer control systems
  • Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production
  • Perform routine asset care, including maintenance and cleaning
  • Work as part of a team to meet production, waste, quality, and safety goals
  • Ensure safe operation of mobile equipment and machinery
  • Follow safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment
  • Perform physical tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, and standing
  • Work 12-hour rotating shifts in a loud, industrial environment

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience with computer or tablet documentation
  • At least 6 months in an industrial, manufacturing, military, construction, warehouse, or related environment

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Advanced degrees or certifications in engineering, electrical/mechanical systems, paper manufacturing, or reliability
  • Over 2 years in manufacturing, industrial, or military environments
  • Experience in pulp and paper industry
  • Experience in maintenance or reliability over 1 year
  • Basic mechanical maintenance or troubleshooting skills
